TESTING THE 2010 FLATLINE WC Written on 11th February 2010 at 2.52am by Pete

Foz Willis and Adam Grimes tested there new Rocky Mountain Flatline World Cups for the first time the weekend. Willis's new factory ride returned from the British Cycling Federation photo shoot with Scott Beaumont on Friday along with and Adams brand new 2010 model arriving from Silverfish. After building both bikes up there isnt a great deal of difference between the prototype version and the availible now model except for different shocks, the only tweaks are in the cable rounting depo and Foz's has the custom added pearl paint and sticker kit which is a bit special. The only thing we opted to change was the dry weather suited Maxxis Minion 60a tyres to the awesome Intense Intruder Fro lite's which are bang on for when the track conditions are in between wets and drys.
After a few runs down the dark hillside there virgin like brakes and suspension started to get used of the action to come and a few small tweaks in the cockpit department both riders were blown by the performance of Rockys new breed of race bike and felt like the Flatline begged to be ridden harder whilst getting faster lap by lap. The Flatline had plenty of perving action going on all day and when you see one up close you'll understand why.
With its sexy lines and fine figure shining through on the outside along with its World Cup Wins stated on the down tube, its how every thing works around the construction of this frame which realy makes it for me. The Low Centre Rotating 2 linkage is un messed with but the rest of it has been messed with in a very special way. More to follow on the Flatlines shortly. Check out the pictures of the almost twins and there fine machines in the Gallery section under Bucknall Uplift 2010.
